CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Current Year: Was a T14 finisher at the First Global Qualifying Tournament to secure, along with Christopher Wood, the final two fully exempt positions on the PGA TOUR China Series...Was the surprise of the inaugural Clearwater Bay Open when he shot rounds of 65-65-66 over his final 54 holes to finish fourth for his first top-10 in his Series career. His previous-best performance was a tie for 51st in Baishan, at the Ping An Private Bank Wanda Open. Had never broken 70 in a PGA TOUR China event then did it for three consecutive rounds. Tied eventual winner Daniel Nisbet and Charlie Saxon for the best final 54-hole score (14-under). Moved to 56th in the Order of Merit.
2015: Made 11 starts split between the Korean Tour and the OneAsia Tour, with five made cuts—all in succession between June and October. Best finishes in stroke-play events were a pair of T38s at the Korean PGA Championship and the Gunsan Country Club Open.
2014: Waited until his final event of the Korean Tour season—the Shinhan Donghae Open—to post his best finish. Was T22, but that was a disappointment as he began the final round tied for 10th until a final-round 76 derailed his chances of moving up the leaderboard.2013: Best finish of the Korean Tour campaign came in August, at the SolaSeaDo-Pine Beach Open. Began the final round tied for fifth, three shots behind 54-hole leader S.S. Hong. His final-round 66 tied him for low round of the day, but it wasn’t enough for him to catch Hong. Finished T2 with Hyun Woo Ryu, Tae Hee Lee and Tae Hoon Kim…Only other top-15 showing was a T13 at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open.
