CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Current Year: Broke through with his first top-10 of the season when he T9 at the Ping An Private Bank Wanda Open in Baishan in early July. Used a final-round 67 at the White Birch Club to pick up the top-10...Missed the cut at the Putian Open but did record the first ace of his PGA TOUR China career when he made a hole-in-one, knocking his 9-iron tee shot into the cup at the 15th hole at Putian Mazu GC and Resort.

2015: Entered the final round of the season-ending Capital Airlines - HNA Real Estate Championship No. 4 on the Order of Merit and dropped to the fifth spot but still earned his 2016 Web.com Tour playing privileges. Had four top-10s in his 12 starts, including a victory at the Ping An Bank Open…Shot rounds of 70-73-71-71 in his Ping AnBank China Tour – PGA TOUR China Series’ debut that resulted in a T8 at the Buick Open in Haikou…A week after a disappointing finish at The Eternal Courtyard Open, where he finished 70th, his strong play returned as he finished as the runner-up at the United Investment Real Estate Wuhan Open. Shot a 1-over 73 Saturday to fall five shots off Justin Shin’s 54-hole lead. Despite shooting the round of the day Sunday at Wuhan Yishan GC, a 5-under 67, it wasn’t enough to catch Shin but did move him into a solo second-place finish for his career-best performance…At the Lanhai Open in mid-May, opened with a 1-under 71 and fell farther back with a Friday 74, leaving him seven shots behind 36-hole leader J.H. Wang. Fired a 3-under 69, including a hole-out eagle on the par-4 10th hole at Lanhai International GC then settled on a T5 after a 1-under 71 Sunday…Earned his fourth top-10 of the season in impressive fashion, moving to an eight-shot lead through 54 holes at the Ping An Bank Open in Beijing and then cruising to victory on the final day, shooting an even-par 72 to defeat former college teammate Rak Cho and Zihao Chen by five shots. Used a third-round, 9-under 63 to seize control of the event, recording a season-best five consecutive birdies on the front nine. Went 52 consecutive holes without a bogey and improved to No. 2 on the Order of Merit.

2014: Made PGA TOUR Canada his main home, finishing 18th on the money list and only missing two cuts in 11 appearances. Opened the season strong with a T2 at the PC Financial Open with Brad Clapp. Began the final round tied for third, two strokes behind leader Jack Newman. Shot a 3-under 69 on the final day at Point Grey G&CC but watched as Joel Dahmen, with a Sunday 68, passed everybody to take the one-shot win…Only other top-10 was a T9 at The Players Cup in mid-July. Opened and closed with a pair of 69s in Winnipeg…Played in one PGA TOUR event—the RBC Canadian Open—where he missed the cut…Added an appearance in the Web.com Tour’s Nova Scotia Open. Opened strong with a 70-67 first two rounds before a third-round 79 derailed him. Came back with his third under-par score for the week when he posted a Sunday 70 at Ashburn GC’s New Course to T46.

2013: Played primarily on PGA TOUR Canada. In nine starts, made seven cuts and finished 23rd on the Order of Merit. First top-10 of the season came at The Syncrude Boreal Open in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Only a second-round, 12-over 73 kept him out of serious contention. Shot a final-round 67 to T6 with Nick Taylor, Brock Mackenzie and John Ellis…In his final start of the year, at the Tour Championship, parlayed rounds of 70-66-71-67 into a T3 at Sunningdale G&CC in London, Ontario…Missed the cut at the RBC Canadian Open. 

2012: Had a strong season on PGA TOUR Canada, winning twice in his final two events of the season. At the Canadian Tour Championship in late-August, had four under-par rounds (68-67-68-67) to hold off Joe Panzeri by a shot…Missed the cut at the RBC Canadian Open in his lone PGA TOUR outing...Two weeks later, at The Great Waterway Classic, kept his streak of rounds in the 60s alive when he opened 67-66 then added 68-65 on the weekend which was enough to edge Daniel Im by a shot…In his other two starts, was T27 at The Players Cup and T38 at the Jamieson WFCU Windsor Roseland Charity Classic. 

Amateur: In 2010, was the 2010 Jack Nicklaus Award winner that went to the top Division I golfer. Earned invitations to both the Memorial Tournament and the RBC Canadian Open. Missed the cut in both events. Was named the Pac-10 Co-Golfer of the Year and was a first-team all-conference selection. Set the Oregon scoring mark in relation to par (.96 under par)…Made his PGA TOUR debut a year earlier, missing the cut at the 2009 RBC Canadian Open…At the University of Oregon, set a tournament scoring record by posting rounds of 65-63-67 to finish at 18-under in capturing the Alister MacKenzie 2012 Invitational…Helped lead his Oregon team to a tie for first at the Pac-10 Championship…Was a Pac-10 honorable-mention selection during his freshman year…Won the 2008 Junior World Championship outside San Diego. That same year, captured the 2008 British Columbia Junior Championship and the British Columbia Amateur…Was the runner-up at the 2008 Canadian Amateur. 

Personal: Majored in crime, law and society at the University of Oregon…Was a teammate with Ping An Bank China Tour player Rak Cho.
