CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Current Year: Finished at 2-over at the First Global Qualifying Tournament and was T10 to earn fully exempt status on the PGA TOUR China Series…Earned a top-10 at The Eternal Courtyard Open with opening and closing 71s to T0 in Zhengzhou in May.
2014: Played most of the season on the PGA Tour of Australia. Best performance was a fourth-place finish at the Western Australia PGA Championship. Opened with a 65 to to take the first-round lead. Was only two strokes off the lead through 36 holes and tied for fourth, four shots behind leader Chris Gaunt, with a round to play. Shot a final-round 71 to finish two shots behind champion Ryan Lynch…Only other top-20 was a T13 at the New South Wales Open. Shot a third-round 65.
2013: Made two cuts during the season, a T32 at the Asian Tour’s Venetian Macau Open and a T14 at the Asian Development Tour’s PGM LADA Langkawi Masters.
2012: In his first year as a pro, missed the cut in four starts and withdrew from a fourth. Made his first cut, at the BMW New Zealand Open, shooting three 73s and a second-round 74…A week later, again played on the weekend at the New South Wales PGA Championship, highlighted by a second-round 67.
Amateur: As an 18 year old, won the Carrus Tauranga Open playing on the Charles Tour in New Zealand. Fired a final-round 66 to cruise to a six-shot victory. Before turning professional in 2012, was ranked as high as No. 6 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings…At age 16, won the Aaron Baddeley International…Was runner-up at the Australian Amateur in both 2010 and 2011…At the 2010 World Amateur Championship, finished fourth in the individual portion of the tournament and helped his team to a fourth-place finish.
