2014: Made his PGA TOUR China Series debut at the Mission Hills Haikou Open, where he missed the cut…Played on the weekend in his next start, at the Buick Open in Guangzhou. Shot a final-round, 4-under 68 to T42 at Dragon Lake GC…Played on the weekend for a second consecutive tournament when he T69 at the Lanhai Open…Withdrew due to injury at the Earls Beijing Open.…Withdrew from the Earls Beijing Open in June due to injury…Missed the cut at the Yulongwan Yunnan Open (74-75)…Entered the Fiji International on the PGA Tour of Australasia in mid-August. Held a share of the first-round lead after opening with a 4-under 68 at Natadola Bay Championship GC. Was 14 shots worse in his next round, firing a 10-over 82 to miss the cut by a stroke.
2013: Turned pro right after earning his college degree. Made his professional debut on OneAsia Tour’s GS Caltex Maekyung Open at Namseoul CC in South Korea. Opened with a 3-under 69. Added a 71, and he easily made the cut. Closed with rounds of 74-76 to T46. First payday was worth US $4,445…In his final start of the season, at the Emirates Australian Open, shot rounds of 75-70 to make the cut then followed with a 76-71 finish at The Royal Sydney GC to T56 with a pair of Australians, Anthony Brown and Anthony Summers. Was the only Chinese player to make the cut.
Amateur: Played collegiate golf in the U.S., at Georgia Tech. Graduated with a degree in business in 2013…Finished T9 at the 2008 Florida Azalea Amateur in Palatka, Fla…Played in the 2008 Asian Open, missing the cut.
Personal: Is a big fan of American football and follows his alma mater, Georgia Tech, and the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Enjoys watching the Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Julio Jones play.
